It is indeed an Honor and a Priviledge to welcome you to the internet home of Mountain City Lodge #67.  On December 10, 2010 the officers of the Lodge were installed in an open ceremony for what is believed to be the first time in its 154+ year history.    An open ceremony in Masonic terms is one in which the public is invited inside the Lodge room to participate in what has traditionally been a private ceremony.

The ceremonies were performed by a group of Friends and Brothers from the Grand Lodges of New Jersey and Georgia.    Right Worshipful Michael V. Caputo Jr. past Grand Orator for the Grand Lodge of NJ was the installing Master.  He was assisted by Wor. Steve Emanuel as Marshal, Wor. John "JJ" Keating as Chaplain,  Wor. Robert T. Bell read the Ancient Charges, RW Joseph McCann Grand Chaplain and Br. Larry Traub were also in attendance.
From L to R:  JJ Keating, Joe McCann, John Dester, Mike Caputo, Bob Bell, Larry Traub
After the ceremonies all of the friends and guests rejoined at the Trinity United Methodist Church to partake in a feast of Ham, Turkey and all of the fixins coordinated by the incoming Masters wonderful bride Lady JoAnn.  Just prior to dessert, all in attendance were treated to a concert of beautiful music performed by the Trinity Handbell Choir.
All in attendance had a wonderful time and are looking forward to sharing many exciting events throughout 2011 with the members and friends of Mountain City Lodge.
